Easter Service. The residents will come together to celebrate the Easter season on Good Friday with the local Church of England Canon who visits the home frequently. Residents of any spirituality or none will have time to pause, reflect and celebrate.
Ipad training at local Primary School
A number of the residents visit a local Primary School once a week to be shown how to use an ipad. So far they have learned how to search the internet and to Skype friends and family. But the best part of the morning is sharing lunch with their young friends and enjoying old-fashioned inter-generational chatter.
Music therapist visiting
The home enjoys many opportunities for music. A number of the residents take part in a group called Singing for the Brain once a week and now a Music Therapist will be visiting the home.
Herb Garden for Spring
A number of the residents are looking forward to livening up their salads with freshly picked herbs from a new herb bench. They requested that they could grow the herbs and Simmo the gardener provided them with a waist high bench so they can enjoy the scent of them up close.
